Stefan Schuy-Preis 2026 – reichen Sie ein!
Auf Grund der heuer im April stattfindenden Jahrestagung, wird der Stefan Schuy-Preis in diesem Jahr im Rahmen des Faculty Days der Fakultät für Informatik und Biomedizinische Technik der TU Graz vergeben werden. Ein sehr passender Rahmen, ist doch die TU Graz die Wiege der ÖGBMT.

Vielen Dank für Ihre bisherigen Rückmeldungen und Ihre Bereitschaft, sich an der Weiterentwicklung der ÖGBMT zu beteiligen!
Falls Sie sich noch nicht gemeldet haben sollten, hier noch einmal unsere Einladung an ALLE Mitglieder:
Im Zuge der Neustrukturierung und Umgestaltung unserer Vorstandsarbeit haben wir organisatorische Arbeitsgruppen eingerichtet bzw. neu aufgestellt, die Ihnen als Mitgliedern eine tolle Möglichkeit bieten, sich in die Arbeit der Gesellschaft einzubringen und damit zu deren gedeihlichen Weiterentwicklung beizutragen. Sollten Sie Interesse haben, an Themen wie Kommunikation und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Mitgliederwesen, Nachwuchsförderung oder Aus- und Weiterbildung mitzuwirken, melden Sie sich gern bei der Geschäftsstelle: office@oegbmt.at. In den nächsten Wochen werden Sie auch konkrete Einladungen zu den konstituierenden Sitzungen der Arbeitsgruppen erhalten.
dHealth 2026 – Rückblick
20 Jahre dHealth in Wien: Am 12. und 13. Mai 2026 fand die Jubiläumsausgabe mit einer Rekord-Beteiligung von über 400 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern in Schloss Schönbrunn statt.
Seit 2007 begleitet die dHealth die Entwicklung digitaler Gesundheit in Österreich – von frühen eHealth Ansätzen bis zu aktuellen Fragen rund um Datenräume, Interoperabilität und KI in der Medizin. Heute ist sie ein etablierter Treffpunkt für Forschung, Versorgung, Politik und Industrie.
Organisiert von AIT Austrian Institute of Technology , Österreichische Computer Gesellschaft (OCG), Österreichische Gesellschaft für Biomedizinische Technik – ÖGBMT und Tiroler Privatuniversität UMIT TIROL bringt die dHealth die Digital Health Community in Österreich seit zwei Jahrzehnten zusammen.

Das Einreichungsportal für einseitige Poster-Abstracts zu aktuellen Themen für die MEDICON 2026 ist nun geöffnet. Dieser Aufruf bietet die Möglichkeit, neue Erkenntnisse, laufende Forschungsarbeiten, vorläufige Ergebnisse oder kürzlich abgeschlossene Arbeiten zu präsentieren, die möglicherweise noch nicht für die Einreichung im regulären Zyklus bereit waren. Angenommene Beiträge werden im Rahmen der Postersession auf der MEDICON 2026 vorgestellt und bieten eine wertvolle Gelegenheit für Diskussionen, Feedback und Networking innerhalb der biomedizinischen Ingenieursgemeinschaft.
Forscher, Studierende und Fachleute sind herzlich eingeladen, diese Gelegenheit zu nutzen und ihre neuesten Entwicklungen dem MEDICON-Publikum vorzustellen.

Stefan Schuy Prize 2026 – Call for Entries
As this year’s annual conference is taking place in April, the Stefan Schuy Prize will be awarded this year as part of Faculty Day at the Faculty of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology. This is a particularly fitting setting, given that Graz University of Technology is the birthplace of the ÖGBMT.

As part of the restructuring and reorganisation of our Executive Board’s work, we have established or reorganised organisational working groups, which offer you, as members, a great opportunity to get involved in the work of the association and thus contribute to its successful development. If you are interested in contributing to areas such as communication and public relations, membership affairs, the promotion of young talent, or training and further education, please feel free to contact the office: office@oegbmt.at. Over the coming weeks, you will also receive specific invitations to the inaugural meetings of the working groups.
dHealth 2026 – Review
20 years of dHealth in Vienna: The anniversary event took place on 12 and 13 May 2026 at Schönbrunn Palace, attracting a record attendance of over 400 participants.
Since 2007, dHealth has been supporting the development of digital health in Austria – from early eHealth initiatives to current issues surrounding data spaces, interoperability and AI in medicine. Today, it is an established meeting place for research, healthcare, politics and industry.
Organised by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, the Austrian Computer Society (OCG), the Austrian Society for Biomedical Engineering (ÖGBMT) and the Tyrolean private university UMIT TIROL, dHealth has been bringing the digital health community in Austria together for two decades.

The submission portal for MEDICON 2026 Late-breaking 1-page Poster Abstracts is now open.
This call provides an opportunity to present new findings, ongoing research, preliminary results, or recently completed work that may not have been ready for inclusion in the regular submission cycle. Accepted contributions will be presented in the poster session at MEDICON 2026, offering a valuable opportunity for discussion, feedback, and networking within the biomedical engineering community.
Researchers, students, and professionals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and share their latest developments with the MEDICON audience.
